General Manager - Full Time, Permanent

Footsore Miniatures and Games has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to take on the responsibility for the day to day running of this small, but highly respected and established miniatures company.   Reporting directly to the Business Owners, you will be at forefront of our business strategy, ensuring that all our well-loved and award-winning games and miniatures are designed, produced and delivered to customers efficiently, on time and with outstanding quality.

Innovation, quality and excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do.  As General Manager, you will be contributing to business strategy, product design, manufacturing processes, sales and marketing.  You will be leading and managing the manufacturing and production team and external contractors.  

We are looking for someone with significant operational management experience in the hobby/miniatures industry which should include design, production, sales and marketing.  Footsore Miniatures and Games is fundamentally an online business so knowledge and skills in social media marketing and campaigns is essential. Experience of leading new product designs, product launches and marketing campaigns will be highly desirable.  As well as the ability to set and manage targets, budgets and performance indicators. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Production: Setting production targets, achieving production plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Sales and Marketing including the webstore, social media and building customer relations and communities.
  • Budgeting: Managing the budget and resources, developing and managing the annual operating budget, and monitoring financial performance. 
  • People management: Leading the on-site manufacturing and production staff as well as virtual contractors (designers, sculptors, editors).
  • Process improvement: streamlining processes for maximum quality and efficiency
  • Customer service: Ensuring industry leading customer service levels 
  • Supplier and client negotiations and management
  • Maintenance and procurement: Overseeing maintenance and procurement processes and procedures
  • Reporting: Reporting to the Managing Director and Owners on key performance indicators.

You will receive a competitive salary, 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) and a company pension scheme.  We believe in rewarding hard work and delivery, so this role will come with an additional performance related bonus.
