Splinters and Storms
Hello, dear traveller, Darren here. Our adventures continue aboard Zenobius' ship, The Clytemnestra. Join us and visit ports around the civilised (but perhaps not so savoury) known Roman world...

Discover how Philamon began life in the article: Introducing Sigvatr & Madoc: From Concept to Creation.
Welcome to Zenobius’ ship moored in Naucratis’ repair yards:
With Zenobius engaged in retrieving his pets, currently running amok in Portus Oplontis, the Clytemnestra is still docked while Madoc furiously makes running repairs. Sigvatr looms nearby, trying to keep curious locals, nosy inspectors, and opportunistic thieves at bay as the rest of the crew enjoys a bit of shore leave.
Your gang has been hired to 'temporarily' supplement the crew. They must help keep the peace, locate missing tools, and prevent sabotage, all while Madoc and Sigvatr argue about “the angle of torque versus brute force.” Your opponent, meanwhile, has been discreetly hired by the Roman port authorities to forestall their repairs!

Setup
Damaged in the most recent storms, at least that's the story the crew are adamantly adhering to, the Clytemnestra rests on blocks like a lame goose, half out of the water...
Place five objective markers representing the tools, 2 on the left and right sides (no closer than 8" from any table edge or each other), and one in the centre of the table. They are safe once they're taken back to within 3" of the ship.

Scenario Requirements:
- A 3x3’ table with dock terrain with the ship on blocks, scattered tools, scaffolding, and tents.
- 3 Mobs: Mobs could include dock kids, slaves, angry neighbours, or an undercover customs official.
Objective
Complete repairs within 5 turns without drawing Roman attention.
- Each round, Madoc demands a specific material or tool (Roll a D6, re-roll a 6 or previously rolled numbers); players must retrieve it and hand it to him
- Sigvatr moves to block or escort crowds away, possibly hurling carts or crates as improvised cover.
- Too much commotion draws a Roman patrol (See Vigiles rule, Page 37-39 of the Gangs of Rome core book.
Deployment
Place a coloured token for each Gang Fighter and each mob in the Draw. Both players alternate drawing tokens. As a token is drawn, the corresponding player places one of their Gang Fighters in their deployment area.
If a player draws a red token, they may place a mob or Vigile base (depending on which is being used) anywhere on the table edge furthest from the sea table edge and 8" from another mob base.
Victory Conditions:
- Success: You fetch and carry three sets of tools to Madoc so he can effect repairs before the next mission.
- Partial Success: Repairs are made, but the Vigiles are now aware of Zenobius’ presence.
- Failure: The ship remains too damaged to set sail.
Game End
The game ends after turn five has been completed or if one gang has been completely removed from play.
