Mortal Gods – Looking Ahead

First off, a huge thank you to everyone who's reached out after our V2 update, we love how passionate this community is!
As we mentioned in Andy Hobdays What Next update, we’re not tearing anything down. The heart of Mortal Gods remains strong. But we are looking in-depth at how we can make things smoother, more available, and even more fun to play.
Behind the Scenes
Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes:

Card Restocks & Revisions: Some cards are running low, so we’re planning how to bring them back and/or alternative ways to present them, along with possible refinements to layout, clarity, and durability.

Rules Tweaks: A few small adjustments are being considered based on community feedback, nothing that invalidates current collections, just little things to streamline play.

Accessibility & Availability: We're looking at ways to make the game easier to get into for new players and easier to find for long-time fans.
Timeline
We are a small manufacturing team based at the factory. Most of the writing and development happens through a dedicated pair of chaps (Andy & George) who fit what they can in around day jobs, so progress will take time. Realistically, we're looking at a timeline of at least a year.

Will my current cards still work in V2?
Yes! We have no plans to invalidate existing cards. V2 is about refining, not replacing, so your current collection will still be usable. Any changes will be small and focused on improving clarity and balance, not forcing you to start over.
Will there be a new rulebook?
We’re planning to update the rulebook with minor tweaks and clarifications, but not a complete rewrite. If anything changes, we’ll make sure it’s clear what’s new and keep it accessible for existing players.

The best way to support right now is to keep playing, sharing the game, and letting us know what’s working (or not). We really value your feedback, it’s a big part of how we shape what’s next for Mortal Gods.
