We’re probably a lot smaller than you think!
Footsore Miniatures is a small team of game enthusiasts, miniature makers and general all-rounders. From Paul, our master mould maker, to Darren, your point of contact for customer service, we all wear several hats to keep Footsore running day to day.
We thought it was worth introducing you to the people behind the miniatures and games you enjoy, and giving you a little insight into what goes on behind the scenes.
Having worked in the miniatures and games industry for more than 30 years, including time with Games Workshop, Battlefront Miniatures NZ, Warlord Games and Sarissa Precision, Richard runs the day-to-day Footsore team.
His job is, essentially, to make sure everything keeps moving in the right direction — from manufacturing and stock to customers, games, new products and all the unexpected things that come with running a small business.
If you've contacted Footsore with a question, there's a good chance you've spoken to Darren.
Darren looks after customer service, but that's just one of his many roles. He also picks, packs and dispatches orders, casts our metal miniatures, writes new Gangs of Rome scenarios and creates concept artwork to help our sculptors bring new ideas to life.
So, if your order arrives safely, your question gets answered, a new scenario appears or a sculptor suddenly has some great artwork to work from, Darren may well have had a hand in it!
Paul is our master mould maker and has more than 30 years of experience in the trade.
He has the rather useful ability to look at almost any miniature and work out how to turn it into a reliable spin-cast metal mould. From individual private commissions to complete miniature ranges, Paul's experience helps us produce moulds that are built to work reliably and produce quality miniatures time after time.
The final member of our happy little band is Joel, who works with us part-time.
Joel's focus is on producing our high-quality silicone moulds and two-part resin miniatures. His experience and attention to detail allow us to offer another level of detail and finish within our mastering and production services, putting Footsore firmly towards the high-quality end of artisan miniature manufacturing.
We haven't forgotten Mark Farr!
Mark is the owner of Footsore and has his own page here on the website, so we'll let him tell you more about himself and what Footsore is all about.

So that's us. Four people working day to day, alongside Mark, with rather a lot of different jobs between us.
And that's something we think is important for our customers to know.
Footsore isn't a large company with separate departments for customer service, social & marketing, design, games development, production and new releases. We're a small team, and the same people making your miniatures may also be answering your emails, packing your orders, writing scenarios, making moulds or working on the next game update.
That can sometimes mean that new miniatures, scenarios, rules updates and other content take longer than we'd like — particularly when we're working across several games and projects at the same time, including Gangs of Rome and Mortal Gods.
We know that people are invested in our games and are keen to see what's coming next. We are too.
We could rush things out just to keep a regular stream of releases and updates, but we'd rather take the time to make something we're proud of. Our priority will always be producing great miniatures, supporting the games we love and making sure the orders that you place with us are made, packed and sent with the care and pride they deserve.
So, if there's occasionally a quiet spell between releases or game updates, please remember that there are only a handful of us behind the scenes — and we're usually working on something, even if it isn't quite ready for you to see yet.
Thank you for supporting a small British miniature manufacturer and, more importantly, for supporting the games and miniatures we love making.
