Welcome to my Orcs
Inspired by years (decades) of fantasy wargaming and the refrain of ''if I could only get orc models armed with great weapons, etc........'' I have finally got a range of Orc miniatures that I am happy with.

An introduction from Mark
Inspired by my love of everything Old/square Hammer, I have embarked on a massive project - producing all the Orc options in Warhammer Armies for Warhammer 3rd Edition (my favourite).
To contain my insanity, the first release is based around the scenario pack 'Bloodbath at Orcs Drift' (WH 2nd ed), probably one of the most atmospheric of all the campaign packs, and focusing on three tribes of Orcs brought together under their king to lay waste to the lands of men, elves and Dwarves.

I started, like many of my generation, with Airfix models and kits, and used the Airfix rules for gaming, as well as rules from renowned authors such as Donald Featherstone and Charles Grant. Early on, my interest was mostly historical; however, reading 'The Lord of the Rings' changed that!
I knew of Citadel Miniatures as at the time they also produced historical figures as well as fantasy ones, and I had some to fill the gaps in my Airfix ranks. When Games Workshop released Warhammer 1st edition, I was 'hooked' and have collected and gamed with all of the editions.
My favourite edition of Warhammer is the third edition, and that was the start of a massive Orc collection for me. It was the period when loads of the miniatures were still sculpted by the Perrys, and their Orcs were more what I imagined Tolkien had in mind when he wrote LoRs. It was just before the Orcs took up weight training, and Kev 'Goblin Master' Adams gave the goblins their zany but very characterful look.
Even though my army was large, I couldn't get all the troop types I wanted, but I was fortunate enough to get a job with GW.
I got to work alongside Trish and Aly at Marauder Miniatures, and we made some progress on fulfilling my 'Warhammer Armies' army lists, but it was a major task!

Moving on, I now have my own company, Footsore Miniatures, and I have started to fulfil my passion project of bringing all the Orc troop types to life!
It is a big project, so to make it more manageable, I have started with troops based around Blood Bath at Orcs Drift - I hope you like them!
